BRACING FOR HURRICANE DOUGLAS: EMERGENCY SHELTER BEGINS AT 9AM TODAY

Let’s be prepared for HURRICANE DOUGLAS. Here’s the update from the Central Pacific Hurricane Center:

The Central Pacific Hurricane Center said Hurricane Douglas continues to maintain its intensity as Category 1 Hurricane with 90 mph winds about 235 miles east of Honolulu at 5 am today.  Attaching new information on emergency shelters should you need one.  Note that the closest shelter if necessary is the Convention Center at 1801 Kalakaua Avenue.  Masks are required for entry.  Attaching also NOAA’s website to track Hurricane Douglas FYI.
